Pastor Wayne Jerome Harvey was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was educated in the Detroit Public School system and graduated from Henry Ford High School, Detroit, MI. He attended the University of Maine @ Machias in Machias, Maine on a basketball scholarship where he majored in Business Administration and a minored in Marketing.

Pastor Harvey is presently employed in management in Corporate America in the utility industry.

He has such fond memories of his first encounter with the Lord when he was about 12 years old. He often reflects on spending the summers with his Aunt’s family in Greensboro, North Carolina. They would pray every day at 4PM as a family and attend church revivals regularly. What amazed him the most is that each time he left North Carolina and came back home to Michigan, he was different. It was then that he knew God had placed something special in him he could not and did not want to let go of.

Pastor Wayne married his lovely wife, Janice Harvey, October 1, 1988 and was blessed with two wonderful sons, Maurice and Rashad, who are both college students and actively working in the ministry. God has developed their marital relationship in such an incredible way that their testimony will give hope, strength and faith in knowing God’s Love can teach us all how to Love.

Pastor Wayne was baptized, and filled with the precious Holy Spirit under the leadership of the late Bishop David L. Ellis and served faithfully under Bishop Charles H. Ellis III at Greater Grace Temple. In 1998 he accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was later ordained by Bishop Ellis. After serving in multiple ministry duties, serving as Chief Armor Bearer to Bishop Ellis allowed him to be a blessing to other churches, in addition to Greater Grace Temple, by teaching and conducting workshops on the subject of Leadership and Servitor. He gracefully and respectfully acknowledges the gift of prophecy and firmly believes that God is still saving, healing and delivering even today.

Pastor Harvey is very passionate about seeing God’s people walk in His love, His authority and His word. To see them come to a full understanding of who they are in God, to see them proclaim and develop a mindset as stated in Philippians 4:13 …”I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me.” Know and trust that God has mapped out a plan for all of our lives. He believes in living and leading by example. He wants others to experience, the joy, peace, personal and intimate relationship one can share with God as he has.

In his time of leisure, he enjoys playing golf. As a family, camping, fishing, traveling and playing board games provides wonderful quality time.
